THE BLENHEIM YOUTH CENTRE IS NOW OPEN EVERY WEEKDAY
TO OFFER THE YOUNG PEOPLE OF OUR COMMUNITY A SAFE
AND WELCOMING ENVIRONMENT TO HANG OUT AND
PARTICIPATE IN A WIDE VARIETY OF ACTIVITIES

The Blenheim Youth Centre is open daily (Monday-Friday)  for youth in the community between the ages of 8-18*.

The BYC is the only Youth Centre available to this population within Blenheim and surrounding areas and we currently receive visits from approximately 30 youth per day. The Blenheim Youth Centre is a place where young people of the community (ages 8-18*) can gather together in a safe environment. As a means of providing young people “something to do” we offer daily afterschool programming that allows the youth to develop social and life skills. Some programs include cooking, crafts, recreational activities, homework assistance and computers. There are always friendly staff and volunteers to assist the youth in many ways.

The Blenheim Youth Centre allows the youth of Blenheim and surrounding areas to engage in safe, meaningful social, recreational and educational activities. The activities and programs available at our facility keeps them off the streets, prevents vandalism and violence and allows them to develop and build acceptable social, personal and professional relationships. Employment skills such as resume and cover letter writing and interview skills are also a main area of focus. Daily life skills such as time management and decision making allow the youth of our community to grow and thrive. Our programs also address proper nutrition, promote healthy active living and the importance of being involved in the community.

Stop in, see what it's about, and HAVE FUN!

Membership to the centre is FREE! See one of the staff for a membership package. With your membership you will receive a FREE pass to swim at the Gable Rees Rotary pool once per week. This is provided at no cost to the BYC by the Howard J. Rees Foundation.

* Children aged 8 & 9 are permitted to attend the centre with a youth 12 or older and must be supervised by that youth at all times. You must be 10 years old in order to attend the centre alone.
